Meet Miss Piggy | 🐖

In this edition of the MB Animal Shelter Scoop, we're introducing you to Miss Piggy. This sweet and goofy girl is about 1 year old and weighs around 38lbs. She is an American Staffordshire Terrier & Bassett Hound mix who loves to make people laugh with her head tilts and quirky personality.

Get ready for two nights of unforgettable energy as the Eaglettes light up the stage in their annual spring performance, Iconic! From powerful routines to jaw-dropping choreography, this show promises an evening packed with talent, school spirit, and non-stop entertainment. Shows are Friday & Saturday at 6PM at the Travis Poe Center for Performing Arts.

Barbers Hill Claims 28th Straight UIL Academics District Title

Barbers Hill High School continues its tradition of academic excellence, securing the UIL Academics district title for the 28th consecutive year. Our outstanding students shined across a wide range of events—including writing, debate, STEM, and the arts—demonstrating dedication, skill, and Eagle pride.

Amanda Aslin Named New Principal at ESS

Barbers Hill ISD has named Amanda Aslin the next principal of Elementary School South, following the upcoming departure of Michelle James. Aslin currently leads Anahuac Primary and previously served as a special education teacher in Barbers Hill.

She brings 17 years of experience in elementary education and looks forward to returning to ESS. “It’s an honor to lead such a strong campus and support the amazing work happening here,” Aslin said.

James will become the new principal of Middle School North, while Matt Barnett moves into a district leadership role.
