MB Animal Shelter Scoop 💙
This week's shelter Scoop is highlighting Aesop, an approximately 1½-year-old Carolina/German Shepherd mix. His happy, extroverted demeanor is sure to steal your heart. ❤️ Aesop loves exploring and playing with toys outside. He has a moderate energy level and gets along well with people of all ages. While his interactions with cats are unknown, he does great with other dogs. Aesop is eagerly waiting to meet his forever family—he knows they're out there waiting to bring him home!

Two Barbers Hill Student Artists Shine at VASE Area Competition
Falleyn Pitkin and Tori Ludwig have earned top honors at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) Area Competition and are advancing to the state level.
The VASE competition, sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association, recognizes student artists for their creativity, technique, and ability to convey meaning through art.
Pitkin and Ludwig impressed judges with their outstanding work, standing out among talented peers for their exceptional skill and artistic expression.
By advancing to the State VASE Competition, they’ll have the opportunity to compete against Texas' top high school artists.
Barbers Hill Academic Decathlon Team Advances to State for 13th Consecutive Year
For the 13th consecutive year, the Barbers Hill High School Academic Decathlon team has earned a spot at the State Academic Decathlon Competition.
The Academic Decathlon is a prestigious, multi-disciplinary competition testing students in subjects like mathematics, science, literature, and economics.
Barbers Hill’s team displayed remarkable dedication, teamwork, and intellectual strength to secure their place at the state level.
BHHS Art Student Earns Spot at State in Mock Trial Courtroom Artist Contest
Drew Hunt, a Barbers Hill High School student, won first place in the Courtroom Artist Contest at the regional Mock Trial Competition.
The contest challenges students to create detailed sketches capturing the intensity of a courtroom trial.
Hunt’s exceptional talent and understanding of courtroom procedures earned him a spot at the State Competition in March.
Barbers Hill BPA Students Head to State Competition
Students from Barbers Hill’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) are advancing to the State BPA Competition, where they will compete against 3,000 of the top students from across Texas.
The competition challenges students in fields like business, finance, technology, and leadership skills.
These talented BPA members will have the chance to showcase their dedication and hard work at the state level.
Each accomplishment showcases the impressive talent and commitment of Barbers Hill students across various disciplines! 🦅
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
And the winner is… SOMEBURGER. 🍔 By a landslide. Somebody spread the word! 😃
